Krishna is a major deity in Hinduism, considered to be the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu. He is often depicted as a young, playful cowherd who is known for his wisdom, charm, and divine powers. Krishna is a central figure in the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita, where he imparts spiritual teachings to the warrior Arjuna. He is also associated with love, compassion, and protection of his devotees. **

Krishna is considered the supreme god in Hare Krishna because he is believed to be the source of all other gods and the ultimate form of the divine. Followers of Hare Krishna believe that Krishna is the original and supreme personality of Godhead, and that all other deities are manifestations of him. They also believe that Krishna is the most merciful and loving form of God, and that by chanting his name and engaging in devotional service to him, one can attain spiritual liberation and eternal happiness. Therefore, Krishna is revered as the supreme and most worshipable deity in the Hare Krishna tradition. **

In the Hare Krishna movement, Krishna is often depicted as a young, dark-skinned boy with a blue complexion, playing a flute and wearing a peacock feather in his hair. He is usually shown wearing a yellow dhoti (traditional Indian garment) and adorned with jewelry. This appearance is based on traditional Hindu iconography and is meant to represent Krishna's divine and playful nature. In the Hare Krishna movement, devotees often worship and meditate on this form of Krishna as a way to connect with the divine. **

Hare Krishna is a religious sect within the broader Hindu tradition, specifically within the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition. Followers of Hare Krishna, also known as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), worship the Hindu deity Krishna and follow the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and other Hindu scriptures. The sect is known for its distinctive practices such as chanting the Hare Krishna mantra and promoting a lifestyle of devotion and spiritual growth. Therefore, Hare Krishna can be considered both a religion and a sect within Hinduism. **

The Hare Krishna sect, also known as the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), is not inherently dangerous. While some former members have raised concerns about the organization's hierarchical structure and potential for manipulation, there is no evidence to suggest that the Hare Krishna sect poses a significant threat to the general public. Like any religious group, individuals should exercise caution and critical thinking when engaging with the teachings and practices of the Hare Krishna sect. **

In Hindu mythology, Krishna is typically depicted as male. He is one of the most widely revered and popular of all Hindu deities. Krishna is often portrayed as a young boy playing a flute, a mischievous child, or as a charioteer in the epic Mahabharata. His gender is consistently represented as male in Hindu scriptures, art, and traditions. **

Buddhists generally have a respectful and tolerant attitude towards Hare Krishna practitioners. While there may be some theological differences between the two traditions, Buddhists often appreciate the devotion and spiritual practices of Hare Krishna followers. Both traditions emphasize the importance of compassion, non-violence, and inner peace, and there is often a sense of mutual respect and understanding between the two communities. **

Krishna and Bhagwan are not the same thing. Krishna is a specific deity in Hinduism, considered to be the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu. Bhagwan, on the other hand, is a term used in Hinduism to refer to a deity or god in a general sense. While Krishna is often referred to as Bhagwan due to his divine nature, the two terms are not interchangeable. **
