Yes, the new Yamaha YZF-R6 has less power than the previous model. The new R6 is powered by a 599cc inline-four engine that produces around 117 horsepower, while the older model had a 599cc engine that produced around 122 horsepower. This decrease in power is due to the new R6 being Euro 5 compliant, which means it has to meet stricter emissions regulations. Despite the decrease in power, the new R6 still offers impressive performance and handling for riders. **
